Asset Protection Scheme Interface Manager

We have a current opportunity for a Asset Protection Scheme Interface Manager for Network Rail Asset Protection and Optimisation Team.
Asset Protection works with Network Rail's line side neighbors to ensure the safety of personnel, assets, and the operational railway.

As an Asset Protection Scheme Interface Manager (APSIM) you will be responsible for investigating enquiries submitted to the Asset Protection ACE system and support the Asset Protection Portfolio Manager and work with the Construction Manager in the safe delivery of schemes in your designated area.

This role is for a Assistant Project Manager/Scheme Project Manager wanting to move upwards to a more of a Scheme Project Manager/Project Manager-ish level.

Key Parts of the role -
1. Interface management with internal stakeholders to enable compliance with Network Rail governance and assurance processes.
2. Develop and deliver solutions for externally funded, high value, politically sensitive and multi-disciplinary projects (Levels of Control 2, 3 & 4).
3. Liaise with Construction Design Management (CDM) Client and other duty holders to establish principles for project compliance
with the CDM Regulations.
4. Provide support to accident, incident & close call events, sharing outputs with client teams.
5. Monitor and analyse all aspects of risk and performance over the project lifecycle.

Essential Skills -
1. Experience in project management
2. Experience in managing a small team
3. Accurate problem solving with attention to detail
4. Able to work in a logical manner to set process.
5. Professional manner, and excellent interpersonal skills
6. Can work as part of a team and independently.
7. Ability to cope under pressure in a very busy office.
8. Rail experience is required

This will be a freelance opportunity, however holds a long term contract, minimum 12 months, with the view for extension.
Outside IR35 subject to assessment SDS - £300-£320 per day limited company.
Start date - October - notice periods will be taken into consideration at interview stage

This will be based out of the York NR Central offices, George Stephenson House, and will cover portfolio of works from York to Sunderland.
Hybrid work - some days at home, some in the office, and also site visits.
