Area Technical Sales Manager

The Role

Navartis are working with a manufacturing business who are currently looking to recruit for a Technical Sales Area manager based around the Midlands area.

This role plays a pivotal role in establishing new networks of distribution, building new customer relations and representing the company on a national basis.

Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Establishing and managing customer accounts, facilitating correct discount and rebate structures
  • Following up on business leads, answering sales calls and handling enquiries made via email
  • Provide accurate quotations for customers – maintaining correct records on areas and customer sales within applicable regions
  • Acquire useful market knowledge such as pricing, new products and merchandising techniques to apply to strategy
  • Keep senior management informed of activity within sales against defined targets, producing weekly & monthly reports by use of Salesforce
  • Handle any complaints that arise – develop solutions, collaborating with internal teams where required

The ideal candidate

  • Previous experience in a technical based sales role is to be expected for this position
  • Pro-active and target driven individual, keen to act as a representative of the company
  • Experience within an industrial tooling/ electrical PPE background would be highly desirable
  • A background interacting with wholesale clients would be a desirable, knowing their processes and working methods
  • Willingness to learn the company’s product catalogue, providing technical sales support to customers and updating on changes within this
  • This role does involve field travel and at times international travel also
