Job Summary:
We are seeking a talented BIM Engineer with expertise in bridge projects to join our team. The BIM Engineer will play a pivotal role in developing, coordinating, and managing BIM models to ensure seamless project execution. This position involves close collaboration with multidisciplinary teams to deliver state-of-the-art bridge designs in line with German and European standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and manage detailed 3D BIM models for bridge projects, including structural, geotechnical, and architectural components.
- Coordinate BIM workflows with design, construction, and project management teams.
- Ensure BIM models comply with German standards (e.g., VDI 2552), Eurocodes, and project specifications.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to integrate design changes, resolve clashes, and maintain model integrity.
- Generate accurate project documentation, including drawings, schedules, and quantities, directly from the BIM model.
- Perform clash detection and provide solutions to design and construction challenges.
- Assist in the preparation of tenders by providing BIM-based visualizations and data.
- Stay updated on the latest BIM technologies and recommend process improvements.
- Provide technical support and training to team members on BIM tools and workflows.
- Maintain project documentation and ensure data consistency throughout all project phases.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or related fields.
- Proven experience in BIM modeling for bridge projects, with at least 4 in a similar role.
- Proficiency in BIM software such as Revit, Tekla Structures, AutoCAD Civil 3D, and Navisworks.
- Familiarity with German BIM standards (VDI 2552) and Eurocodes.
- Strong understanding of bridge engineering principles, materials, and construction techniques.
- Experience with clash detection tools (e.g., Navisworks, Solibri).
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Fluent in German (mandatory) and English (preferred).
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
