Civils Supervisor

Job Description

Role: Civils Supervisor

As the Civils Supervisor, you will play a key role in supporting the Construction Manager to deliver signalling civils works within budget, safely, and within set timescales.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise staff and contractors delivering signalling installation activities.
• Monitor daily work for safety, quality, and productivity.
• Support allocated resources with experience and technical solutions.
• Ensure staff have the required plant and equipment, fit for use.
• Undertake work planning and produce site paperwork in compliance with company, project, and client requirements.
• Identify and propose possessions, contribute to the planning process, and attend possession meetings as needed.
• Monitor site for safe working practices and potential risks, challenging poor behaviours and unsafe acts.
• Effectively communicate task requirements to staff in compliance with Alstom EHS policies and AZDP.
• Complete material ordering documentation as required.
• Process work sheets and support the production of RAMS (Risk Assessments and Method Statements).
• Carry out site audits and inspections, including tool inspections, vehicle inspections, team briefings, and risk assessments.

Required Skills, Qualifications & Experience

• Experience of working of Civil Engineering Projects (Roads, Highways, Piling, Earthworks, Bridges)
• Good communication skills.
• Knowledge of the risk assessment process.
• Experience in industry-related Health, Safety, and Environmental courses.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word.
