Job Title: Design Coordinator

Location: West Midlands

Salary: £35,000 - £50,000 DOE

About the Role

As a Design Coordinator, you will be at the heart of the design and construction process, ensuring that projects are executed efficiently and to the highest standards. Working closely with architects, engineers, and project teams, you will manage the coordination of design information, ensuring compliance with industry regulations and client expectations. This role will provide exposure to exciting projects and the opportunity to collaborate with a skilled and passionate team.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with design teams, subcontractors, and consultants to ensure seamless integration of project designs.
  • Manage and review design submissions, ensuring compliance with UK building regulations and project specifications.
  • Facilitate communication between stakeholders to resolve design issues effectively.
  • Oversee the production of drawings, specifications, and technical documentation using AutoCAD and/or Revit.
  • Monitor project progress to ensure timely delivery of design milestones.
  • Support the project team with technical advice and guidance throughout the project lifecycle.

 

Key Requirements:

  • Experience: 2-3 years in a design coordination or similar construction role.
  • Education: Degree in Architectural Technology, Construction Management, or a related discipline.
  • Technical Skills: Working knowledge of AutoCAD and/or Revit; proficiency in Microsoft Office programs.
  • Knowledge: Strong understanding of UK building regulations, construction methods, and industry standards.
  • Skills: Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organisational abilities.
  • Other: Full driving licence required.
