Job Title: Fiber Splicer
Location: Phoenix, AZ and surrounding areas
We are currently seeking skilled Fiber Splicers to join a rapidly growing telecommunications client based in Phoenix, Arizona.
Your role as a Fiber Splicer will be to prepare fiber sheaths, splice and test individual fibers and properly dress and secure fibers within fiber optic enclosures. You will be a part of a team that is dedicated to enhancing connectivity and ensuring the highest quality of service.
Key Responsibilities for this Fiber Splicer role:
- Perform splicing with both loose tube and ribbon splicing, and high-count fibers.
- Ability to proficiently prepare and splice all sizes of fiber sheaths in an aerial as well as underground environment.
- Understand and follow OSHA safety requirements to complete the job(s) safely and efficiently.
- Record splice locations and measurements for project documentation.
- Maintain accurate logs and reports of completed tasks, including test results and cable layouts.
Key Requirements for this Fiber Splicer role:
- A High School Diploma or equivalent is preferred.
- Minimum 2 years proven experience in fiber optic splicing, testing, and repairs.
- Skilled with essential tools such as cable strippers, cleavers, and testing equipment.
- Understanding of reading and interpreting fiber optic schematics, blueprints, and splice diagrams.
- A valid US Driver's License is required.
- Ability to work under pressure
- OSHA 10 certification
- OSHA 30 certification is beneficial
Package offered for this Fiber Splicer role:
- $22-$32/hr (depending on experience)
- 20 PTO, 5 Vacation days
- OT Available
- Training and Development
