Fleet Administrator / Coordinator

Location: Doncaster, South Yorkshire

Salary: circa £26,000 - £30,000 dependant on level

Summary

A leading European supplier for railway electrification are currently looking to hire a Plant and Fleet Co-Ordinator in their Doncaster office.

Main duties:

  • Facilitating driving licence checks in accordance with FORS and company procedure, alongside maintaining the associated data in preparation for audits.
  • Working with the HR team to process parking & speeding fines and other traffic offences along with re-charge of damage and costs where appropriate.
  • Assist in carrying out vehicle inspections throughout all depots and sites to ensure adherence with SPL policy and “fit for purpose”.
  • Assisting in the delivery and collection of replacement and damaged vehicles at various locations where required.
  • Assisting in conducting checks required by the FORS requirements for new starters and inductions throughout the various sites and depots as required.
  • Working with the Safety & Services Coordinator, Fleet to ensure all documentation and records meet the required standards.
  • Maintain the SPL Fleetcheck system on a day to day basis.
  • Liaise with lease companies as directed by the Safety & Services Coordinator, Fleet on a day to day basis to ensure fleet requirements are maintained.
  • Assist the Safety & Services Coordinator, Fleet in maintaining DLVA driver mandates for all drivers of company vehicles and associated record keeping.
  • Monitor use of company vehicles through use of the tracker system for the purposes of monitoring driver compliance and behaviour (such as speed).
  • Monitor use of company issued fuel cards to identify efficient use and any fraudulent use.
  • Assist the Safety & Services Coordinator, Fleet in investigations relating to road vehicle incidents.
  • Assist as directed as required within the Safety and Services Directorate.

Seeking candidates with:

  • Experience specifically within dealing with a workforce at various levels, preferably within a fleet management environment.
  • Excellent Computer literacy skills.
  • Willingness to travel to different sites and depots to carry out the role and on occasion out of hours.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team and support as required.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Full driving licence and ability to travel to different locations as and when required.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • The ability to stay calm and meet deadlines.
