Principal Mechanical Engineer
This is a great opportunity for an experienced Principal Mechanical Engineer to join a well known Tier 1 contractor working on large utilities project in the North West area.
The company is a well know Tier 1 contractor who operate nationwide throughout the UK and have a number of Regional offices. Your role as Principal Mechanical Engineer you will be supporting the team with the delivery of a broad range of mechanical projects predominately within the water sector and working on large pumping stations.

Key responsibilities for this Principal Mechanical Engineer role:
- Production of pumping systems and pumping station designs including pipework and valving arrangements
- Production of pumping system hydraulic calculations and selection of suitable pumps
- Production of equipment specification/datasheets from a process requirement specifications & P&ID's for the selection of equipment associated water, waste water and other treatment systems e.g Sludge treatment, chemical dosing, pumping.
- Review and input to P&ID's
- Input to and attendance at HAZOP meetings
Experience required for this Principal Mechanical Engineer role:
- You are a Chartered member of a relevant professional institution (e.g, CEng MICE)
- You have several years of postgraduate experience
- You have experience within the water sector working on pumping stations
Package offered for this Principal Mechanical Engineer role:
- Basic Salary up to £55,00 depending on experience
- Plus Package
