Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Structural Engineer with Project Management expertise to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in the design and execution of both industrial and residential building projects, from concept through to completion. This role requires a balance of technical knowledge and leadership skills to manage complex projects and ensure they are delivered on time, within scope, and in accordance with all regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Structural Design: Develop, review, and approve structural designs and specifications for industrial and residential buildings, ensuring they meet local building codes and regulations.

  • Project Management: Oversee multiple projects simultaneously, from initiation through completion, while managing resources, budgets, timelines, and stakeholder communications.

  • Collaboration: Work closely with architects, construction managers, and contractors to coordinate structural designs and project schedules. Ensure smooth handoffs across disciplines and troubleshoot design or construction challenges as they arise.

  • Quality Control: Conduct site visits to monitor construction progress, assess compliance with design documents, and identify potential risks. Propose solutions to address design and construction issues.

  • Documentation and Reporting: Prepare and maintain project documentation, including progress reports, budgets, and risk assessments. Ensure all project deliverables are archived accurately.

  • Regulatory Compliance: Stay updated on the latest building codes, zoning regulations, and safety standards. Ensure all project work adheres to regulatory and environmental guidelines.

Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Structural Engineering or Civil Engineering.

  • Experience:

    • Minimum of 7 years of structural engineering experience in both industrial and residential projects.
    • Proven experience managing projects from planning through completion.
  • Technical Skills:

    • Proficiency in structural analysis software (e.g., STAAD, ETABS, SAP2000) and design software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit).
    • Strong understanding of building codes, construction standards, and regulatory requirements.
    • Fluency in German speaking required 
  • Project Management Skills:

    • Ability to manage multiple projects with competing deadlines and priorities.
    • Experience with project management software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera) is a plus.
  • Other Skills:

    • Strong communication and leadership skills.
    • Ability to work collaboratively in a multi-disciplinary team environment.
    • Problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities.
