We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our clinets team on a social housing development project in Co Kildare. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in quantity surveying within the construction industry, particularly in social housing projects. Key Responsibilities:

Cost Management:
- Prepare detailed cost estimates and budgets for the project.
- Monitor and control project costs to ensure adherence to budgets.
- Conduct cost analysis and cost reporting.

Contract Management:
- Prepare and manage contracts, including tender documentation and procurement processes.
- Assess and manage variations and claims.
- Ensure compliance with contractual obligations.

Financial Reporting:
- Prepare regular financial reports, including cash flow forecasts and cost-to-complete assessments.
- Provide accurate and timely financial information to project stakeholders.

Risk Management:
- Identify and mitigate potential risks to the project’s financial performance.
- Implement risk management strategies and contingency plans.

Team Collaboration:
- Work closely with project managers, site managers, and other team members to ensure project success.
- Foster strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers.

Quality Assurance:
- Ensure all work complies with relevant standards, regulations, and specifications.
- Conduct regular site inspections and audits to maintain quality control.

Documentation and Record Keeping:
- Maintain accurate and comprehensive records of all project-related financial transactions and documentation.
- Prepare and present reports to senior management and clients.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in quantity surveying within the construction industry.
- Proven experience in social housing development projects is highly desirable.
- Strong knowledge of construction contracts, procurement processes, and cost management.
- Excellent analytical, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficient in relevant software and tools, such as MS Office, CostX, or similar.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Membership in a relevant professional body (e.g., RICS, SCSI) is an advantage.
Salary
Salary €80,000. (Negotiable dependent upon experience), bonus scheme, plus further additional benefits
