Senior/Principal Engineer (Civil / Structural)
Locarion: Ipswich / Hybrid
Salary: Between £45,000 - £65,000 dependant on level of experience plus package.
A successful multi-disciplinary engineering consultancy is looking for experienced and motivated Senior & Principal Engineers to join their team.
Based in their Ipswich office with plenty of opportunity for hybrid working this role is ideal for individuals with a background in an engineering consultancy environment who are ready to take on their next challenge.
We are seeking a proactive and personable individual who can communicate effectively with both colleagues and clients. The ideal candidate should be adaptable and able to think quickly on their feet.
While the position is primarily within our civil engineering team, there will be opportunities to contribute to projects across the broader company.

Key Responsibilities
- Manage projects from initial concept through to the construction phase.
- Perform and oversee design work related to , hihways, rail and private sector projects.
- Attend client and site meetings as needed.
- Conduct surveys and site inspections.
- Assist with staff training and mentor trainees and graduates.
Open to candidates with experience in Rail, Civils, Highways, Structures, Buildings, Marine etc.
Skills / Qualifications
- Civil / Structural Engineering degree or equivalent qualification.
- Chartered/Incorporated status, or actively working towards a professional qualification.*
- Proficient in Civils 3D or Causeway Flow (or similar software).
- Strong communication skills and the ability to follow and interpret instructions clearly.
- Proven experience in managing and leading technical teams.
- Demonstrated ability to deliver projects through all stages of design and construction.
Infrastructure and highways design (S278, S38, S104) desirable
- Full driving license.
