Senior - Specialist planner for control and safety technology

Your new role

As our new senior specialist planner for control and safety technology (m/f/d) for railway infrastructure projects, you will support us in a variety of railway infrastructure projects and help shape the transport transition.

Your main tasks will be:

  • Planning (new construction / conversion and expansion) of demanding control and safety technology projects in performance phases 1 to 5 and, if applicable, performance phases 6 to 8
  • Conversion or modernization of signaling systems with different signaling technologies
  • Development of specifications for the graphical creation of safety-related overview, location and cable plans
  • Coordination with the specialist planners of related trades such as cable route planning
  • Preparation of explanatory reports and tables for planning in the respective performance phases
  • Qualitative and quantitative inventories and evaluation of existing facilities including site visits
  • Participation in project management in planning (deadlines, costs, resources), support of the project management in fulfilling their tasks
  • Ensuring compliance with the relevant laws, regulations, standards and rules in the development of the planning
  • Participation in interface management (including coordination and integration of internal and external specialist planning), partly using BIM
  • Review of third-party planning results with regard to costs, deadlines and quality
  • Presentation of project results within the project and to the public

This includes:

  • Successfully completed degree in electrical engineering, traffic engineering or railway engineering or a technician or master craftsman qualification
  • At least 5 years of professional experience in LST planning
  • Qualification as a specialist planner LST (m/f/d) according to RiL 046.2821 desirable
  • Very good knowledge of the areas of HOAI, VOB as well as the applicable legal provisions and relevant regulations of the DB
  • Experience with awarding planning services and preparing offers
  • Confident use of relevant software systems (e.g. AutoCAD, iTwo, MS Office)
  • Technical and commercial understanding
  • Interest in complex tasks and networking
  • Self-motivation, reliability and solution-oriented working methods
  • Enjoy working in a structured team
  • Very good written and spoken German and English skills
