We are currently seeking a highly skilled Site Superintendent with a strong background in Industrial, Commercial, and Institutional (ICI) projects for one of our esteemed clients. Our client is a reputable construction firm known for its commitment to quality and excellence in delivering large-scale projects.

Position Overview: The Site Superintendent will play a critical role in overseeing the daily operations on construction sites for  New build ICI projects. This position requires a seasoned professional with proven experience in managing complex projects, ensuring safety and compliance, and leading construction teams effectively. The ideal candidate will possess a strong track record of delivering projects on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Management: Oversee all aspects of construction operations on-site, including scheduling, budgeting, and resource allocation. Ensure that all work is performed in accordance with project plans, specifications, and safety regulations.
  • Team Leadership: Supervise and coordinate the activities of construction crews, subcontractors, and vendors. Provide clear direction, training, and support to team members to foster a productive and collaborative work environment.
  • Safety Compliance: Implement and enforce safety protocols to maintain a safe work environment. Conduct regular safety inspections and address any issues or concerns promptly.
  • Quality Control: Monitor construction activities to ensure adherence to quality standards and project specifications. Address any deviations or defects and ensure corrective measures are taken.
  • Communication: Act as the primary point of contact between the construction site and project stakeholders, including clients, architects, engineers, and project managers. Provide regular updates on project progress, challenges, and milestones.
  • Problem-Solving: Identify and resolve any issues or obstacles that arise on-site, including logistical challenges, technical problems, and resource constraints. Proactively seek solutions to keep the project on track.

Qualifications:

  • Experience: Minimum of 5-7 years of experience as a Site Superintendent, specifically on ICI projects (Industrial, Commercial, and Institutional). Proven track record of successful project management and team leadership.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field is preferred. Relevant certifications and trade qualifications are a plus.
  • Skills: Strong understanding of construction processes, building codes, and safety regulations. Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills. Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical documents.
