Solution Architect -

Purpose of Role

· Provide expertise re-design of new Customer Billing, Fulfilment and Assurance Solutions, Systems and Architecture.

· Provide input and guidance on the Data Portfolio and new product introduction

· Act as an Escalation point to all areas of the business

· Provide mentoring to other team members including training and knowledge share, be the Business Authority on the Design and Implementation of all Data Products

Key Responsibilities and accountabilities

· Solution Design: Collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into comprehensive solution designs. This includes analysing existing systems, identifying gaps, and proposing innovative solutions based on BSS and OSS frameworks as developed by organisations such as the TM Forum.

· Architecture Development: Define and refine our Customer Billing, Fulfilment and Assurance i.e. (BSS and OSS) architecture development and methodologies, ensuring they align with industry best practices and standards. Create models, diagrams, and documentation that effectively communicate the proposed architectural vision and technical solutions.

· System Integration: Oversee the integration of Customer Billing, Fulfilment and Assurance i.e. (BSS and OSS) architecture systems with various telecommunications components such as network management systems, customer relationship management systems, billing systems, and provisioning systems.

· Ensure seamless data flow and interoperability between multiple systems.

· Technical Leadership: Provide technical leadership by guiding the development teams in implementing the proposed solutions. Advise on technology selection, software development best practices, system optimization, and performance enhancements.

· Solution Validation: Collaborate with IT Development and build teams to validate the implemented solutions against defined requirements and architectural guidelines. Conduct tests, troubleshoot issues, and provide recommendations for improvements.

· Stakeholder Engagement: Engage with key stakeholders, including business users, product managers, and executives, to understand their needs and align architectural solutions accordingly. Effectively communicate the benefits, challenges, and risks associated with different solution options.

· Industry Knowledge: Stay up-to-date with the latest trends, best practices, and advancements in the telecommunications industry, especially in relation to Customer Billing, Fulfilment and

Assurance i.e. (BSS and OSS) architecture. Actively participate in professional forums, conferences, and industry events to continually enhance your knowledge and expertise.

Knowledge, Skills, and Expertise

· Bachelor's or Master's degree (or equivalent) in Computer Science, Telecommunications, or a related field.

· Proven experience as a Solution Architect, specifically within the telecommunications sector.

· Strong expertise in BSS and OSS systems architecture, including practical experience with relevant industry frameworks.

· In-depth knowledge of telecom network elements, protocols, modules, and services.

· Proficiency in architectural design tools, such as Visio, Sparx Enterprise Architect, or similar software.

· Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to understand complex systems and provide practical solutions.

· Effective communication and stakeholder management abilities to engage and collaborate with diverse teams.

· Strong leadership skills to guide development teams and influence decision-making.

· Self-motivated and able to work independently as well as in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.

· Drive the RFx process from drafting RFx document, reviewing supplier proposals, performing evaluations and presenting RFx results and recommendations to key stakeholders and project sponsor.

· Support the technical implementation of OSS/BSS solutions and provide solutions to design and implementation challenges

· Ensure proposed solutions are aligned with TMF frameworks and best practices and compliant with JT's security and regulatory policies.

· Good skills on simplifying complex technical concepts to ensure better stakeholders understanding.
