About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Construction Superintendent with a proven track record in managing healthcare projects. The Superintendent will be responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of the construction process, ensuring projects are completed safely, on time, and within budget. This role requires deep knowledge of healthcare facility regulations, infection control procedures, and construction best practices to ensure the delivery of high-quality healthcare spaces.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage day-to-day operations on healthcare construction sites, including planning, scheduling, and execution of the work.
  • Ensure that all work is performed in accordance with local, state, and federal regulations, especially those related to healthcare facilities (e.g., infection control protocols, interim life safety measures).
  • Lead and supervise all on-site staff, including subcontractors, to ensure quality standards are met and deadlines are achieved.
  • Collaborate with architects, engineers, project managers, healthcare facility administrators, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth project flow.
  • Implement and enforce quality control measures, ensuring all aspects of the project meet the highest standards, especially in sensitive healthcare environments.
  • Identify and resolve any issues that arise during the construction process, ensuring minimal disruption to healthcare operations.
  • Monitor project budgets, timelines, and material costs, making adjustments as necessary to stay on track.
  • Maintain comprehensive records of project progress, including daily reports, safety meetings, and inspection logs.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Superintendent in the construction industry, with at least 3 years in healthcare construction.
  • Strong understanding of healthcare construction regulations, including ICRA (Infection Control Risk Assessment) protocols, life safety standards, and HVAC systems for healthcare environments.
  • Proven ability to lead construction teams, manage subcontractors, and work collaboratively with clients and stakeholders.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to clearly convey project updates and needs to diverse teams.
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills with the ability to adapt to changing conditions on-site.
  • OSHA 30, First Aid/CPR, and other relevant industry certifications. ICRA certification is a plus.
