A large engineering consultancy, operating as part of a major energy group, is seeking an experienced professional to fill a Team Lead position focused on Civil Engineering within the Water Supply sector (m/f/d). This role is based in a major city in Southern Germany and is available to start as soon as possible. The company serves a range of clients including utilities, municipal bodies, and water associations, primarily within its region, offering services across energy, water, and infrastructure domains.

Key Responsibilities:
- Leading and managing a medium-sized team (approx. 14 professionals) specializing in public drinking water systems, civil/structural engineering, and surveying.
- Overseeing the professional and personal development of team members and ensuring team objectives are met.
- Driving the advancement of technical standards, tools, and service offerings within the water supply discipline.
- Potentially undertaking direct project planning responsibilities across all standard project phases (as defined by German regulations like HOAI) and supporting the team on complex projects such as the construction or refurbishment of water reservoirs, related structures, and pipeline networks.
- Representing the company in interactions with clients and relevant committees.
- Actively participating in sales and client acquisition efforts.
- Collaborating closely with leadership from other technical departments on cross-functional projects and initiatives.

Candidate Profile:
- A university degree in Civil Engineering or a comparable technical qualification.
- Extensive professional experience and comprehensive technical knowledge within the drinking water supply sector.
- Previous experience in leading a team is highly desirable.
- Strong communication skills, combined with significant personal initiative, goal orientation, and commercial awareness.
- Proven negotiation skills, assertiveness, decisiveness, and a strong sense of responsibility.
- In-depth understanding of relevant German engineering service regulations (HOAI) and construction contract procedures (VOB), along with a solid grasp of engineering consultancy workflows.
- Proficiency with standard MS Office applications and common tendering/cost estimation software (AVA).
- A valid Class B driving license.
