Fleet Engineering Manager - Arbroath Depot, Scotland

I have a fantastic opportunity for a Fleet Engineering Manager to join Scotland's leading bus operators who operate a fleet of 468 buses and coaches, and, in the past year, have invested £10.1m in 46 new vehicles for local areas, all of which are fully accessible and meet the latest Euro emission standards.

This opportunity will give you the chance to manage diverse and widespread engineering operations within a progressive organisation where your contribution can drive the business forward.

They're looking for a forward thinking, innovative, driven and motivated leader to oversee all running's of the depot, leading a large team of engineers and staff and being the driving force of the team.

Key responsibilities for this Fleet Engineering Manager Role:

- Delivering effective engineering support.
- Drive forward excellent levels of safety, reliability and presentation of our fleet while meeting all statutory & legislative requirements.
- Ensuring compliance with the company's proactive and preventative maintenance regime
- Ensuring compliance with all health & safety policies and procedures, whilst maximising opportunities for future improvement
- Collaborate, as a member of the senior engineering & local management teams, with colleagues to further develop the business within budgetary guidelines.

Key experience/requirements for this Fleet Engineering Manager Role:

- An excellent track record of high-quality fleet maintenance - within Bus, Rail, Automotive, Aerospace desired.
- Ability to lead a team to deliver a safe and cost-effective programme of preventative maintenance and repair.
- Excellent knowledge of health & safety, environmental and employment legislation
- An innovative, customer focussed and commercially astute outlook.
- Excellent communication and analytical skills
- Evidence of Continued Professional Development

The successful candidate will be based in the East of Scotland and will have the ability to communicate effectively at all levels and have excellent technical and people management experience.
