Rate: £450 - £550 per day - INSIDE IR35
Duration: 12 + months ongoing

Project Value: circa £2b multi-disciplinary project upgrading the existing railway route
My client is a successful contractor who holds an excellent reputation in the industry.
One of the sectors they specialise in, is in within The Transpennine Route Upgrade Project (TRU).
Due to the continuing growth of the Business, they are now looking to take on an experienced Freelance Cost Manager for a project due to start in West Yorkshire.
The successful Freelance Cost Manager will assist them in their core market.
Key Responsibilities for this Freelance Cost Manager Role:
- Leading and delivering in all aspects of cost management and quantity surveying from project inception to completion
- Maintaining and developing good relationships with clients, taking every opportunity to uphold and increase the profile of the firm as a provider of professional, premium quality services to the construction industry
- Benchmarking and cost modelling reports and presenting them to clients.
- Developing cost plans as further detailed design information becomes available.
- Advising Clients on market conditions and procurement options.
- Carrying out value and risk analysis exercises.
Key Experience for this Freelance Cost Manager Role:
- Degree Qualified - BSc or MSc - in Quantity Surveying / Cost Management or appropriate conversion course
- Understanding a variety of project types/sizes/sectors. Healthcare, Education, mission critical, Commercial, Residential, Industrial sector experience would be advantageous
- Excellent numeracy, verbal and written communication skills.
- Willingness to challenge in a positive and engaging manner.
- Ability to work under own initiative where appropriate working closely with team lead
